  • Currently serving on the” Economic Development and Global Competitiveness Committee, Housing & Neighborhood Development Committee, Budget Committee, Inter-Governmental Relations Committee and the Governance & Accountability Committee
  • Hosted 4 Town Halls around District 3
  • “Welcome” First Annual Charlotte Career Discovery Day
  • Coordinated the first Ever District 3 “Airport Job Fair” and coordinating the 2015 “Airport Job Fair”
  • Led discussion of Goodwill expanding from 10,000 sq ft to 110,000 sq ft and keeping them in District 3 on Wilkinson Blvd.
  • Attended community meetings for Wesley Heights, Historic Camp Green, Southwest Area Neighborhood, West Blvd Neighborhood Coalition, Enderly Park, Westerly Hills, Steele Creek, South End, MontClaire and many others.
  • Approved funding and building design of the West Blvd CMPD headquarters including the design of the community room.
  • Led discussions for Council to move “Ban the Box” (addressing employment after incarceration)

Projects worked On

  • Instrumental in negotiating Tanger/Simon Outlet (Charlotte Premium Outlets) to District 3 bringing 600-900 full and part-time jobs which will generate Millions of dollars in tax revenue.
  • Partnered with constituents and the developer to bring new jobs and economic development to FreeMoreWest by way of Dunkin Donuts
  • Coordinated with the Director of the Charlotte Douglas International Airport the first Airport specific Job Fair, currently coordinating the 2nd
